As someone who enjoys e-books, I like taking advantage of the possibility of taking many of them with me with almost no additional weight.
Still, in some cases, I also like having the physical version. Especially when I want the specific book to be present in my library or when the visual design of the book couldn’t have been well accommodated to the ebook format.
In those cases, I always think of having the ebook as a gift in addition to the paperback, for those times when I wouldn’t be able to carry the book with me.
Why hasn’t it been the model for any company? How much of the people who purchase the paperback, would additionally buy the ebook version anyway?
How much money are businesses losing there? Or are they losing at all, thinking of all the people who’d go for the more expensive paperback version, when the e-book is already included in the package? Worth having an experiment on.
